Location & Getting Here:

Pintler Scenic Route (MT Hwy 1 between Drummond and Anaconda, off I-90 in southwest Montana). Nearest airports are Butte, 50 miles east on I-90 and Missoula, 80 miles west on I-90.
One of Montana's most popular lakes is the centerpiece of a winter sports area that offers snowmobiling, ice fishing, downhill and cross-country skiing. On the Pintler Scenic Route, Georgetown Lake is surrounded by mountains and wilderness. There's an abundance of silver salmon in Georgetown Lake, fun at nearby downhill slopes, Nordic trails and mineral hot springs swimming pools.
 
  TRAILS:
Three major trail systems include East Fork, west Georgetown Lake, which offers popular family snowmobiling with views of the Anaconda Pintler Mountains; Red Lion, east of Georgetown lake, which offers more challenging riding with an ever-present deep snowpack; and Blodgett, south of Georgetown Lake, which offer family touring with a snow shelter for picnics and cookouts. Other popular trails include Peterson Meadow, Montgomery Ridge, Windy Ridge, Storm Lake, Happy Creek, Warm Springs, and Hidden Lake.
